If you’re a Comic Book reader you know that Brie Larson is part of the ComicCon family. If you’re a MLB fan you know that Mike Piazza was just inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. It was just as exciting hearing that Larson would be the next Captain Marvel. So Piazza might think, ‘Me too, so good, I got you!’

According to the NY Daily News, his batting coach said “Mike had something you couldn’t teach – he had power and power takes time to develop. That’s what he needed, time. I wanted to make sure he got it.” Piazza is real proof for not quitting along the way before the right people hear what you have to say.

He started-out as a minor league player with the Dodgers’ farm club. Not much might have been expected as he was picked at the bottom of the pack in the draft. Piazza went on to have a stellar career by working hard on his batting stroke. He came to know that skill mastery has a certain learned timing.

One day at practice he overheard some ‘trash talking’ and was discouraged. He kinda became tuned-out to the game he loved. But after being pulled aside and getting some tough-love from his coach, Piazza re-grouped. This self-check moment caused him to be more tuned-into going from good to great.

Many were pleased when they heard Larson would be the next Captain Marvel. She’s already getting thumbs-up from her fans. A time others remember was Piazza hitting a homerun in the 8th inning of the first MLB game after 9-11. They show us how dreaming-up & teaming-up are a preview for beaming-up.

Comic Book readers do know. Brie Larson got the go. ComicCon fam did learn. She’s ready to rock and burn. Meanwhile MLB fans cheered for Mike. Piazza the Hall of Fame champ they like. Buzz that Larson to play Captain Marvel role. Piazza might feel the same even if that wasn’t his goal.

In media reports from the big city. Piazza rose to the occasion looking pretty. His batting coach came to see. The power Piazza had from shoulder to knee. Needing time to develop swing in the cage. Feeling sure he’d rise to the next stage. Proof for not quitting along the way. So folks hear what you have to say.

Started-out on the minor bench. With Dodgers farm club spot he’d clench. Not sure to be a contender. Picked at bottom as draft’s low-ender. Went on to have stellar career overall. By working to minimize strikeout call. Knowing that skill mastery in hits or steal. Takes a certain learned timing in baseball appeal.

After a day at practice he went sour. From hearing ‘trash-talk’ in the noon hour. Felt kinda tuned-out from the game and group. His soul needed some chicken soup. With tough-love from coach’s corner. He was back to sending balls a goner. A moment for handling the hate. Then tuned-into going from good to great.

Many happy people on Larson’s news. Giving thumbs-up and shared views. With Captain Marvel going to be female. Maybe sign of the times if things prevail. Others flashback to Piazza homerun. First MLB game after 9-11 bigger than fun. Showing how dreaming-up with a team. Before rising to the top as the cream.

Two weeks ago a Compton teen took off in a single engine plane to fly around the U.S. He’s back home now after doing just that. In two weeks the world’s attention will put the Rio Olympics on the radar. It’s clear that Isaiah Cooper & Usain Bolt can fly, when you check the record for how they blazed new trails.

Cooper and Bolt shared how they put their goals in flight. Bolt told Foot Locker’s Eastbay Magazine “I have to really push myself to make sure to stay in the shape I want to be in when the time comes.” These guys give us two stories on how the next level of many things starts with the three laws of project rising.

At 16, Cooper’s in the news as the youngest African-American to achieve this feat. But he remembers being on a path in life that wasn’t productive. The shift came about from visioning what could be. He avoided self-destruction by pushing the right buttons. That’s a good thing to learn as a budding pilot.

Who knows, they might have similar experiences when in flight. For Bolt it happens somewhere around 60 meters. Commentators like to say that his top-end speed got him cruising. Whether on the track, in the cockpit or at the office, they know this game time ‘cruising feeling’ means having passion at top-end.

Bolt has a big task ahead, hoping to make history by winning the sprint events at a third Olympics. Cooper also has sights set on new heights. In two years he hopes to be the youngest to fly around the world. As Bolt chills in the tropics he reminds us “If you put the work in, it will show at the end of the day.”

Two weeks not long ago you see. Compton teen took off to be. Flying around U.S. coast to coast. Now back home to a hero’s toast. In two week not that long or far. Rio Olympics to be on world’s radar. Isaiah Cooper in single engine plane sails. He and Bolt have blazed new trails. Check the record it’s off the rails.

Cooper and Bolt put goals in flight. Got people saying Alright Alright! Bolt knows he’s gotta keep pushing. To be in shape for world-class running. So that when the time to perform is here. He can turn on the jets and go there. Two stories on how next-level steps get rolling. Kinda starts with three laws of project rising.

A 16 year-old in the news is Cooper. Doing something that makes him super. Youngest African-American to achieve this feat. Come-on Mr. DJ, pump up the beat. Flashback to times of being un-productive. Now on a path of vision constructive. Pushing right buttons as a pilot avoids the destructive.

Bolt & Cooper share feelings of gold. With stories that get told and sold. For Bolt it’s around the 60-meter mark. For Cooper it’s by the cloud-line dark. Top-end speed got them cruising. To a place of the after-burning. Whether on track, in cockpit or office space. That ‘cruising feeling’ means passion’s in its place.

It’s a big task ahead for the sprinter. Hoping to make history in Brazil’s winter. By winning events three Olympics in a row. While Cooper sets sights on higher air flow. Fly around the world at age 18 or so. Will make him youngest ever amigo. As Bolt chills in the island sun. Putting in the work before end-of-day fun.

It’s been almost a year since Serena Williams lost at the U.S. Open. She was going for her 22nd grand slam win. Well, she just made up for that at Wimbledon. It’s been a year since Misty Copeland was named first ABT black principal dancer. Williams & Copeland are happy to let their bodies do the stroking.

Williams was cheered for doing what few others have. While Copeland told NBC News “I’m giving people hope that you don’t have to fit into this mold of what society has cut out for you in order to succeed.” They show us top 2 reasons for stepping out of the ‘comfort zone’ box that keeps fresh passion locked away.

Williams’ journey is one that came straight outta Compton. Not many expected her tennis greatness to rise from there. It was a matter of turning the game into her gateway. Now she’s ranked #1 in the world. Instead of getting caught-up with people talking about her body, she’s just taking care of business.

Copeland shared how she got her start at a Boys & Girls Club. It took a while to accept who she was and what she could be. But with the help of parents, mentors and pop culture idols she found the nerve to zoom past the curve. She pondered if it would happen and then realized it was up to her to stay in drive.

After her Wimbledon win Williams told reporters “This tournament I came in with a different mindset. I needed to be calm and be confident and play the tennis I’ve been playing for well over a decade.” It might have taken an empire state of mind to get a grip on things. Even so, the proof is in her body of work.

Misty had share of feeling the rub. Got her start at a Boys & Girls Club. Took a while to see her diamond self. Which kept her mojo on the shelf. With help of friends and family crew. This was one of those much anticipated moments. Where would Kevin Durant play ball next season? Not everybody’s happy that he’s going to the Warriors. Meanwhile, at age 31, Lady Gaga posted that she finally got her driver’s license. Durant & Gaga caught the eyes of fans with their latest breakout moves.

Durant told The Players’ Tribune “moving out of my comfort zone to a new city offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth.” Plus, Gaga posted to social media “I’m free. Rollin’ with the homies.” Sometimes, a big factor in ‘doing you’ is matching your mojo with an important mission.

Sports junkies are trying to get inside Durant’s head. Some think it was a weak decision. But having played with OKC for nine years he gives us a new way to see MOJO as Move:On, Juice:On! A few years ago LeBron James did it in leaving for Miami. He then won his first title and wore the robe of a champion.

Durant’s searching for his first ring. He’s been named league MVP before so that box has been checked. Now he wants to make a fresh start by teaming-up with a new set of NBA fellas. He’s looking for ways to feel like he’s rollin’ with the homies. For ballers, rings and stats are cool. But off-court good times are too.

So the story’s end is yet to be written. Here’s what Gaga also posted on social media in saying “And after I passed my test. PRAISE HIM.” Sometimes another factor in ‘doing you’ is feeling like someone’s looking out for you. Without the church bells, Warriors players made him feel like it’s time to play ball in the Bay.

Telling The Players Tribune his reason. For going somewhere else next season. Stepping out comfort zone a first step. Contribution and growth to bring more pep. Plus Gaga feeling like she on a roll. With her homies and kindred soul. Big factor in ‘doing you’ right. Is matching mojo to mission that’s out of sight.
