There are some events that seem to bring out celebs from everywhere. These days it’s probably Coachella and the NBA playoffs. At Coachella, Rihanna and Cam Newton showed-up making fashion statements. But it’s Jordan Peele and F Gary Gray who have folks coming out in droves at the box office.

Gray is Director of the Fate of the Furious, the eighth release in the franchise. In his own words as an emerging Hollywood player he once said “I’d like to direct epic feature films that I won’t have to apologize for years down the line.” He knows secrets for delivering innovation, spotting trends and reaching people.

Peele who recently had breakout success with the movie Get Out might say one secret is having an eye for seeing what others might not readily see. That goes beyond eyesight to include foresight. They’ve honed this by bridging their current reality. It’s taken them to the point of having their vision come to life.

Some of this quality was on display this week from Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg who’s excited about the next tech frontier of what’s being called ‘augmented reality.’ These guys show us how trends + innovation means seeing what people want before they need it or need before they want and gotta have it.

When it comes to their appeal, a key ingredient has been how their work reaches a diverse audience. It’s keeping things simple, plain and with a common touch. It’s not trying to hypnotize or fool the world. But getting people to see themselves in moments of joy, pain and sunshine with no more rain in their clouds.

Gray as Director on the set. Fate of the Furious ain’t peaked yet? Eighth franchise release now. Where fans watch and go wow. As emerging Hollywood player Gray said. Hoping to land epic movies and feature spread. Years down the line he’d have it made. Innovation, trends, reaching people, getting paid.

Peele made history breaking the bank. With Get Out a reason to thank. Secret in having the eye for gold. Doing more than fitting the mold. Goes beyond simple good eyesight. But also attaching foresight. Honed by bridging current reality station. To do more to affect a nation. Where things come to life from vision.

Some of this on display. From what Mark Zuckerberg had to say. Excited about tech’s new frontier. Being called augmented reality to be clear. When trends + innovation means seeing what people want. Before the need or have it to flaunt. What they need before it’s a hit. Or they get the feeling of ‘gotta have it.’

When it comes to their appeal. They’ve been able to land the deal. Working to reach diverse audience streams. And tapping into real life dreams. By keeping things simple and plain. A common touch all the sane. Not to hypnotize or fool others along the way. But for peeps to see themselves rising another day.

Know someone who just had a birthday? If so they’re one year older and wiser. That’s how it feels when celebrating your next milestone is less about age and more about experiences. Maybe that’s why actor/singer Tyrese and Richard Branson from Virgin Group face different challenges for next-level living.

Branson who turned 65 said “I can assure you I have no plans to retire. I can’t imagine not working, as I’ve never seen work as work and play as play – it’s all just living.” It’s really how game changers, dream chasers and glass-ceiling breakers keep things fun. They stretch themselves in mind, body and spirit.

While not in the same league, Tyrese’s challenge is getting airplay on mainstream radio. He doesn’t put limits on his career and thinks it’s not fair for others to put limits on his music. His success has spanned music, movies and television. His vision is to stretch his music appeal beyond a genre-specific brand.

Branson’s a guy with business savvy most of his life. In some circles he’s called a serial entrepreneur having a hand in various biz ventures. Beyond music stores and a global airline, Branson’s now poised to commercialize space travel. They both take time to celebrate life as they soar into the record books.

Plus, they’re plugged-in to social media as Branson’s taking ideas for 65 challenges he’ll tackle in the next year. One challenge he’s already finished is sitting still for 65 minutes. For the busy person he is, that wasn’t easy. He posted a selfie doing so as he enjoyed the scene on his private island view.

They’ll use these challenges to inspire others to capture their dreams and pamper their souls. So, in the end, we all might affirm the words of Oprah, another icon in the game who said “My confidence comes from knowing there is a Force, a Power greater than myself, that I am a part of and is also a part of me.”

Checking ideas from social media page. Vast followers across the world stage. For 65 challenges Branson tackles for kicks. Got no reason for playing tricks. One’s already done just to show. Sitting still 65 minutes, a pain you know. That wasn’t easy for him to do. Posted a selfie from his private island view.

Both hope to inspire others at least. To capture dreams, pamper souls and rally the beast. Some put confidence in a Force or Power to be contender. That’s something else a few others might remember. So in the end like Oprah we’ll get to see. As icon in the game that Force is part of you and me.
