Yes indeed, it is good to review and reinvent at times……. breathing some fresh air into the business…… I have noticed that some stores in the Palm Beach, Florida area have been upgraded big time … more spacious layout, full-sized race cars on display…. up to date video games… no more traditional play areas for the kids….

The Stawberry Letter (your book)is a CAN’T PUT IT DOWN BOOK. I am a 65 year old women and I cried when you talked about your wanting a college degree. For most of my life that was my desire and Shirley I have two degrees. God blessed me to get my first degree at age 51 and my master degree at age 61. You can do this don’t give up! My two older sisters tried to discourage me by saying I was to old and what good are degrees at my age. My younger two sisters from my father’s second family stated that they were so proud of me. You can do this don’t let anyone stop you. Just think of how God has blessed you without this degree. What more blessing will you have with this degree.

This book says so much to us women and I wish I had, had some of this advise when I was developing into a women. Now I am and older women and your advise to women is a special contribution. I hope all women are listening. I can relate to all the strawberry letters except the one about dating married men. I was the wife on the receiving end of the hurt of the other women. I promise myself I would never give any wife the pain I felt.

I am happy you wrote this book. Thanks. I got it from the library and now I will go out and by it. I have purchased both of Steve’s book after reading them from the library.

Be Blessed and Know that God has plans for your life with or without a degree.

Great article! I loved Dr. Pinkett. You didn’t mention Dr. Pinkett’s new book, Black Faces in White Places (http://tbbbookstore.com/index.php?ID=2&catID=32&product_id=258). I just read it and the book opens with a transcript from his finale for “The Apprentice.” I still remember it! You should add this to your posting.

Interesting developments….. Asafa Powell also has prematurely ended the season due to leg injuries (or maybe to focus more on Yendi – she did amazingly well in the Miss Universe contest)……. We all need at some point in our lives to step back, assess our relative situations and regroup before moving forward…. Some say “Wheel and Come Again”….

interesting blog, this year i look forward to the experience of the soccer world cup being hosted by South Africa…going to a few matches..and being around the tourists..

“Bring Sexy Back”, I believe it is good for both career and business. I am a little excited about GM reinventing itself, so much so, I may even consider an american made car next time. Sometimes a new look can bring new career and business opportunities. A new suit and hair can put some pep in your step or boost self-confidence and a new logo or web design can open the eyes of new customers and old customers may put on new glasses. I am with “bringing sexy back” in business as well as in career. Nice topic Doc!
